FORT NIAGARA MUSEUM
BUFFALO, NEW YORK
2008, Unbuilt
This proposal for the Fort Niagara Museum showcases the
revolutionary war outpost’s distinctive wall that protected the fort from both land and
sea. Starting from the fort’s distinctive bermed wall, museum occupant’s progress
through the site, observing historic artifacts that are displayed in the
ground. The path once again meets the forts perimeter, this time passing
through the sea wall. Occupants are then lead to a platform that overlooks Lake
Ontario.
