RIVERDALE RESIDENCE AND STUDIO

WORKSHOP FOR ARCHITECTURE

An existing stick style house in a landmark district of the Bronx was expanded to accommodate the client’s family and house their painting studio. Two new “wings” added to each side were clad in a wood rain screen to compliment the lush surroundings of Riverdale. At the center of the house, an atrium was carved from the entry through to the attic, allowing ample light penetration and visual connection throughout the residence.
