Navesink House

Navesink, NJ
In Development

This private residence for a large family is situated in a wooded lot adjacent to agricultural and equestrian fields. Motifs from the nearby farm structures were used when designing the public street-facing façade to match the character of the surrounding neighborhood.

The profile of the residence changes as one enters the private rear yard, however, where a series of dormers and windows break up the horizontal rooflines to create the image of a countryside chateau. In the interior, double-height spaces in the living and dining rooms are overlooked by a corridor on the second floor that leads to the bedrooms.
